Quick setup from the Start screen
After sign-in you land on the Start screen. Below sections such as drafts and appointments, there is an onboarding block with a short welcome (“Welcome to the Protocol App …”). There you can prepare the app without detours for day‑to‑day work.
1. Set up My data
Tap “My data” (row with the person icon).
- The contact editor opens for your main profile — the details that later appear as your contact in protocols, for example.
- Enter at least first and last name plus sensible contact details, then save. If anything essential is missing, the app may remind you later (e.g. before finishing a protocol).
More background: My data.
2. Add a company logo (when the row is visible)
“Select logo” / company logo on Start is shown only when your workspace role may manage organisation settings (typically owner/admin — plain member accounts do not see this block).
- Pick an image file; the logo is used in protocols and documents where the app supports it.
- Use the clear control next to the preview to remove the logo again.
3. Import default setup or build your own
Pick a default category
Under “What should the Protocol App be used for by default?” you choose the default category. You can still create objects for other categories as well.
Import default setup (recommended)
When a category is active, the same card shows a short explanation and the button “Import default setup (recommended)”.
- Tapping it navigates to Settings and opens the import of ready-made sectors, equipment, checklists, and text modules — a fast way to start with realistic examples.
- You can still adjust or replace content later under Settings.
- You can undo or remove the imported setup in Settings under “Danger Zone”.
Your own setup
If you prefer not to use the default package, configure sectors, checklists, text modules, and so on manually under Settings. Overview: Settings overview.
4. Lead source (optional)
You can also record how you heard about the Protocol App. That helps the vendor with product development; it is not required for daily work.
Useful notes
- Internet: Logo upload, import, and synchronisation need a connection. For syncing from Start, see Synchronization.
- “Don’t show again”: At the bottom of the setup list you can hide the whole onboarding block when you no longer need it (features remain available via Settings and My data).
