Create and set up an object
Use this as a quick checklist to prepare an object for protocol work. Treat the order as a suggested flow; you can skip or complete steps later as needed.
Core data
- Create a new object and set its name.
- Link an address (or enter address details the way your workspace expects).
Contacts on the object
- Assign contacts to the object who should appear in documentation (e.g. owner, tenant, property manager).
More: Assign contacts to an object.
Sectors
- Add sectors to structure the object (often rooms or other meaningful areas). That keeps text, media, and details grouped by location later.
Meters
- Add meters on the object, including basic data and readings you already know.
Keys
- Document keys or access relevant for handovers and protocols.
Defects (optional)
- Record defects on the object only if the feature is enabled in your app or workspace. If you do not see it, you can skip this step.
