Sectors
Under Settings → Master data → Sectors you manage sectors — the areas used to structure objects during documentation, e.g. Living room, Kitchen, or Engine bay.
Where to find it
- Open Settings (gear icon in the app).
- Under Master data, tap Sectors.
The list can be filtered by object category (e.g. real estate, vehicle) and narrowed with Search. Use Show archived to see deactivated sectors.
Create new sectors
- Tap + (Create) in the header to add a new sector manually.
- On mobile: AI generator — suggests sectors based on your input.
- You can also import default sectors from the deep.rent setup (see Quick setup).
Edit existing sectors
Tap a sector in the list to open it. There you can:
- Turn Active on or off — inactive sectors are archived and no longer appear in selection lists (existing assignments on objects are kept).
- Change the name and other master data.
Group
Use Group to assign a sector to a group — e.g. Interior or Exterior.
Groups sort sectors
- in selection lists when adding sectors to an object, and
- in the object view, where sectors are shown grouped.
That keeps large sector lists manageable.
Notes and descriptions (info text)
Under Notes and descriptions, add info text for the sector (Markdown supported).
The text is shown automatically when the sector is opened on an object or in a protocol — as guidance for anyone documenting (e.g. “Photos of all walls and the ceiling”).
Filter: object types
Under Filter, define which object types the sector applies to:
- Object category — e.g. real estate or vehicle only.
- Object type — pick specific types (e.g. Apartment but not Office) or all object types in that category.
Only matching sectors appear when choosing sectors on an object. That avoids irrelevant entries — an Engine bay sector does not need to be offered for an apartment.
Which types are available in general is configured under Object types.
