Object types

Under Settings → Master data → Object type you control which object types are available in your workspace and which default data is applied when creating a new object.

Where to find it

  1. Open Settings (gear icon in the app).
  2. Under Master data, tap Object type.

The list can be filtered by object category (e.g. real estate, vehicle, industrial) and narrowed with Search.

Enable object types

The app provides many object types — e.g. apartment, office, car, or machine. Not every type is active by default.

  • Tap an object type in the list to open its details.
  • Turn Active on or off.
  • Active types appear when creating new objects; inactive types are hidden.

Limit your workspace to the object kinds you actually document — and enable more types when you need them.

If a type is missing, use + (Create) to request it from deep.rent.

Defaults for new objects

For each object type, define what a newly created object includes automatically:

AreaPurpose
SectorsDefault sectors when the object is created (order preserved)
Stock / equipmentDefault equipment items
Links and documentsDefault links stored on the object
MetersDefault meter types

You can add, reorder, and remove entries. The configuration applies only to newly created objects of that type — existing objects are not changed retroactively.

Example: For Apartment, you can predefine sectors Living room, Kitchen, and Bath plus meters for Electricity and Water. Creating a new apartment starts with that structure.

Default sectors, stock, and links refer to master data maintained separately under Settings (e.g. Sectors, Equipment). Object types connect those building blocks to each object type.
