Delete profile
This article describes deleting your user profile and cloud access in the Protocol App — separate from log out or leave team.
Where to start
- Open the user menu (profile area in the header, “My data”).
- Expand the Danger zone accordion.
- Tap Delete profile and cloud user access (red / danger button with warning icon).
The app navigates to the Delete user page.
What deletion means (in-app copy)
The Delete user page warns that the action permanently removes:
- the user,
- the organization scope,
- all stored objects, and
- protocols created for them.
A clear confirmation question asks whether you really want to continue.
Summary before deletion
The page shows a summary, including:
- User (identifier),
- Organization (ID and name),
- Object count,
- Protocol count (evaluated locally).
You see the approximate scope before you confirm.
Flow and confirmation
- Use Cancel to stop, or the primary action (e.g. “Yes, I want to continue” — exact label depends on translation).
- The app may require re-authentication (e.g. OTP by email, magic link, or password, depending on setup and account).
- A final confirmation usually states that deletion cannot be undone.
- Success or failure is shown in a toast.
Important notes
- Overview of password, log out, and leave team: Password & account.
- Log out and leave team are different: they do not remove the entire account and all cloud data like this flow.
- Local files on the device may not be fully cleared by account deletion; you may need manual cleanup depending on device and app version. Follow in-app guidance and your IT / organization when returning devices.
