Hide a sector
Sometimes a sector should not be documented in a protocol — e.g. when handing over office space that is variably rented: hide rooms that are not part of the current handover. The sector stays on the object but does not appear in the protocol until you turn it back on.
Hide a sector
- Open the object (also possible in protocol mode)
- Under Sectors, tap the sector you want to hide
- In the sector editor, turn off “Visible in protocol”
- Save with Done
In the sector list, a hidden sector is greyed out and marked with a eye-off icon.
What happens in the protocol
- A hidden sector is not included in protocol navigation, checklists, or the finished document
- Photos, texts, and checklists for that sector are not captured or exported for this protocol
- The sector itself is not deleted — equipment and master data remain on the object
Show a sector again
Open the sector again and turn “Visible in protocol” back on. It will appear in documentation again — for the current and future protocols.
Typical use cases
- Variable office space — document only the floor or wing being handed over
- Partial handover — hide sectors the tenant does not (yet) use
- Temporarily blocked rooms — e.g. renovation or storage not part of the walkthrough
Notes
- The setting applies per sector on the object — not globally in sector master data
- To create new sectors: Sectors (settings)
- For order of visible sectors: Order sectors
